The art style is minimalist, enabling players to focus on the game's real challenge: manipulating the rules to achieve objectives. Accompanied by a fittingly subtle and atmospheric soundtrack, the game's sound effects contribute to an experience that is both relaxing and mentally stimulating.

"Baba Is You" presents a storyline that is as minimalist as its graphics, placing emphasis instead on gameplay. The game cleverly uses in-game text blocks as both literal and figurative building blocks of gameplay, allowing players to rearrange words to alter rules and solve puzzles.
